When a company is registered for VAT, the Estonian Tax and Customs Board sends an e-mail regarding this registration. A document is provided in this e-mail stating that the company is registered for VAT. This document is the VAT registration certificate of the company.

However, if you do not have access to this e-mail anymore, the VAT registration certificate of your company can be downloaded from the Estonian Tax and Customs Board’s e-service as well. You can follow this step-by-step manual on how to obtain a VAT registration certificate for your company.

1. Firstly, you should log in to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board e-service.

2. The right company should be chosen from a dropdown menu in the left top corner. After choosing the company you would like to obtain a VAT registration certificate for, you should click on “Registers and inquiries”.

3. Under the “My Inquiries” section, there is a “Compilation of certificates” option, you should click on it.

4. Here, you can view your available certificates and also, create new ones. You should click the blue “New certificate” button to create a new VAT registration certificate.

5. The “Certificate of registration as a person liable to value-added tax” option should be selected.

6. You may select the language of your new VAT registration certificate. Please select the language of your preference to finalize certification creation.

7. Your new VAT registration certificate is now created with up-to-date data. You can download the certificate generated by clicking on the cloud icon and selecting the certificate format of your preference.

8. There you go! This is what a certificate of VAT registration looks like:
